Our History

The company was founded in 1926 by Dondero Gerolamo and was one of the first in the field of extraction, processing, and marketing of slate. Over the years, the company has developed from a small workshop adjacent to the extraction site to a modern complex located in Ferrada di Moconesi. In the post-war period, Giovanni Dondero, the nephew, continued the family tradition by building a new industrial complex equipped with the most modern facilities, many of which were originally designed for marble extraction and later transformed into slate, with a unique production process in the world. Currently, the tradition continues with Giovanni's son and current owner Gian Luigi Dondero, who with passion has supported and subsequently replaced in the management of the company, improving the quality of the product through the use of the latest technologies in the stone industry.
